WE LOVE COOPERATIVES!
THEY ARE DEMOCRATICALLY-OWNED BUSINESSES THAT DIRECTLY BENEFIT THE COMMUNITIES AND PEOPLE WHO CREATE THEM

What is a cooperative?

Check out this video that helps define a cooperative and explains the different types of cooperative companies.

In the four decades since the founding of the Federation of Southern Cooperatives, there has been significant work, participation and development of low income people and their communities.
There are three major themes of the Federation's mission, work and accomplishments over the past forty years; develop cooperatives and credit unions as a means for people to enhance the quality of their lives and improve their communities; save, protect and expand the landholdings of Black family farmers in the South; advocate and support public policies to benefit our membership of Black and other family farmers and low income rural communities.
